I have friends in food service and they would lose money if they got paid minimum wage. They get $40 a shift plus tips. On a slow night, tips run around $200. Busy nights, they are clearing $400-$500.

Maybe feelings have changed in the past few months, but I seem to recall everyone who actually works on the wait staff at restaurants DESPISING this bill.

That is the law. The restaurant has to pay you minimum wage if you don't make enough in tips

I think the opposite, the changes were probably very calculated. And by very calculated I mean calculated to increase profits. Increase wages by $5, increase prices by $7.

No. Higher octane fuel will not give you more power on a stock car. The ECU can advance or delay timing to prevent knocking but it’s not like it magically reads the octane on the fuel and decide to give your engine more power
