It seems that Valve is indeed giving some freedom to user with the Steam Machine. We'll see how it goes. But I can't help to think that the Steam Machine is just a PC with console disguise and very weird Human Interaction Device aka controller.

Okay yes I see that Steam has lots of various games. But is everyone owning a PC game also always subscribe to Steam or similar services ? I don't think that's always the case. Take an example from country that not covered by them.
