This I agree with very much. Japan is about man-hours...not effective man-hours. I dread projects which Japanese management on site because expect long hours doing wasteful things. If not in procedure, coworkers shut down.

Japan has very advanced toilets (I wish they spend as much money on toilets on other things and then I would not have to use fax machines to send documents to Tokyo).

You need degree in computer, mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering. Also must have clean record to be able to get visas. Some countries like Middle East or South Korea are very strict against having arrest record for drugs. Also, you will be drug tested regularly by customers.

This whole mess is amazing to me. I must travel all over world. I do port and steel mill automation. I am not to use any thing overseas unless it is VPN into secured server to isolate things. I am not to have phone that can sink up because of where I work (China many times steal things like software).
