I am a big fan of the movement system in this game. So nice to see a mainstream FPS game with old school FPS movement system. I like the fact that the maps are not too large, so getting yourself into action is easy. Lastly, I'm completely loving the Xbox One recording feature, although I wish it would work better

Yeah, my Xbox One is basically a Killer Instinct machine until Tomb Raider is out.

I have played most of the next-gen launch games on both consoles, and Killer Instinct is the only game that actually feels like a real step forward in its genre, rather than just an annual upgrade to the series. It looks absolutely beautiful and the gameplay is so much fun that it actually reminds me of playing Street

Kosh and Sheridan

In AVP 1 (from 1999) Aliens followed you everywhere. That game was scary as hell. AVP2 that introduced Half-Life style scripted enemies was not nearly as scary anymore. They had the benefit of 14 years of better technology and software and this is the best that they could do?

He also composed the music for Quake.

Why bother, we can just terraform Mars and move in when Earth becomes unhabitable.

I kinda like the fact that D3 does not have additional content until expansion packs start to roll out. It means that I can 'finish' the game (by beating hardcore hell) without it becoming a secondary job like any MMO game out there. WoW was a cool experience from lvl 1 to lvl 60, after that it became pointless.

As a Tribes vet I'm surprised how good TA eventually became, it is not perfect yet though. They need to fix chasing and features like recording, voicepack customization, female models etc...

This game is slowly getting closer to actual Tribes experience. Still, I wish the jetpacks were stronger and that they would add friendly fire.

This game is not worthy the Tribes name. It is even worse than Tribes Vengeance. It is a shame because the game looks amazing, but the game design is absolutely horrible, I don't want to play the game anymore after trying it out.

Looks great, but the heavy reliance on scripting makes the games less scary. AVP (PC) was scary as hell because the Aliens were not scripted in any way, they just kept coming... AVP 2 introduced Half-Life style scripted events, which made the game too predictable and not really scary.

Just when I thought that my original prediction of July 2012 release was way off. I'm back in the game.

YES.

I think this game is held hostage by the old CS community, they won't allow any big changes to the game that would make CS interesting to me again.

I really hope that this game is going to be massively successful. In 2000 I thought Deus Ex was the future of gaming, but sadly almost every developer followed the heavily scripted route of Half-Life, making many games feel like a roller-coaster ride. Perhaps the industry will see the light now, and I can play more

What is this? ? Deus Ex, Tribes, Diablo, Alpha Centauri, and Jagged Alliance coming back? Some kind of conspiracy to ruin my life?

Well written, I noticed similar issues with physics from the Quakecon video. It looks like a great game, but they just need to get skiing, jetting, and discjumping right. Right now it looks like the players are hugging the ground way too much.

I better be able to ski fast with my Juggernaut armor.

Yeah right, you will eventually buy it anyway.
