For 90% of the auctions the comments are useful. I’ve seen some comments from guys clearly trying to ruin auctions with mud slinging and unfounded statements. BaT would eventually pull the comments in a few days but the damage was done.

Good points but you missed the main selling feature, the Harley Davidson sticker. That alone justifies the likely $9,999.99 price they will try to charge.

So you redesigned the entire website to push add traffic as much as possible. You missed an opportunity. You are only giving adds 50% of the space on the site. Why not bury every story behind an add? Just make everyone click through 5-10 adds to read anything? That would really improve the experience.
