Not that I elaborated on it in my comment, but I agree with you that the government should provide maternity/paternity leave. But one could argue that it's still "bad for business" via taxes, and thus the penalty is still paid (in part at least) by those who aren't pregnant. I don't think that's a bad thing.

A little late to be replying, but to be brief, I don't think you should be paying me. I think maternity leave should be a government check on a capitalist system that values profit over people. This isn't a mind blowing concept, the U.S. is pretty far behind in this aspect.

That's the thing though - maternity leave shouldn't be a factor. The U.S. sucks at this. Women shouldn't be punished for giving birth, we're the only ones who can do it. For some reason it's always talked about like it's some selfish personal choice, like taking a ski trip. Not sure if you knew, but a whole lot of men…

I totally agree. I also don't think it's black and white in this situation, we weren't there, we don't know. But like you said, "We chastise the men and women involved in domestic violence cases based on how much we hate them rather than the facts." And that *is* shady.

It't not definitive proof, but saying you don't buy someone's story when you have no involvement whatsoever is really silly.

I have seen SO much of that Chad apologizing, Evelyn-bashing since this whole thing started. Those people should just come right out with it, they think she deserved it. And that Chad could never have done anything wrong!
