Let's not forget about the Funky Bunch!

Once saw a restaurant review in the NYT for a Spanish place - "The only good Spanish food is in Spain" - then lists his illustrious food experience in Spain. Dude just start a narcissism blog

Like charities

Yeah I don't know why they didn't do a dry run first with someone getting on wearing something resembling a wedding dress. This is horsemanship 101 - expose them to it until they get over it.

The first time my daughter had a huge destructive rager at our house at the age of 16 I called parents. I had kids passed out in bedrooms. Can't even count how many parents replied with "oh no, my princess doesn't drink, she must have been tired from work". Even my daughter eye rolled over these responses. Denial is a

I work at a horse barn that has resident yellow labs - to me same thing as goldens. We keep bags of wrapped pepper mints around for the horses. I have seen the dogs steal a bag of the peppermints and eat them, wrappers and all. Fortunately we have a vet around!

In our town it's the wealthier neighborhoods that get passed by. The houses are too far apart and the driveways too long. The neighborhoods with smaller lots give the biggest bang for your buck.

Yeah, some of the beach communities here have Florida-like issues among the year-round residents. I think the Vineyard has drug issues too, esp. in the winter.

I don't even want to contemplate the level of people you socialize with to cause you to be so blissfully unaware that "retard" is an incredibly offensive slur. If you have a family member, or god forbid work with mentally challenged people you would know that it is never, ever used. But keep using it, it gives anyone

No it's not. Regan started that tradition. Wasn't done before.

I was visiting SF this summer, and my day in the Castro involved not one but two gentlemen doing their errands in exactly this outfit. Actually, one guy may have been on his way to festivities later - his penis cozy was gold sequined

Did no one notice that Diana Gabaldon herself makes an appearance in the beginning when the guests are arriving? I think she was Lady Fiona - someone makes a wiseass comment like 'nice dress, looked good on you when you wore it to the last gathering too'. Wonder if there will be more appearances by her!

It reminds me of the replies the beauty contestants give when they try to answer a question about something they clearly know nothing about. Just a jumble of words, with the buzz phrases they know should be included. Then I remember she was a pageant girl and it all makes sense.

Listen, I understand wanting your body to be a certain way, understanding how your appearance helps you to navigate through the world, but at some point in your life you have to understand that it just doesn't matter. Such a waste of time and energy that could be (so much) better spent on things that count.

Haha that is awesome, Jersey. I honestly believe that horses bestow special powers unto those who are open. They make the work easy.

Where in anything I said focused on women? I'm talking about everyone.

Your response in no way addresses the shallowness of putting so much energy into the importance of physical beauty. Fine, you wanna walk around naked in public? It somehow makes you feel better about yourself? Go for it. As long as you are putting as much time and energy into making your inner being healthy. That's

I know this is old, just re-read your reply, I've turned around on my thinking with this. What you described are unacceptable conditions. And you are right - if I had the money Neeson has I'd be throwing a shit-ton of it toward these horses. Sorry this response is so late, I'm angry with myself for not being more

I just don't understand why this is somehow empowering. Power does not come from what you look like. It comes from who you are and what you do with your life. I know - society dictates blah blah but damn, the people I've just wanted to fall into are always those that have a core of intense integrity. Fucking wake up

I agree. I work in the horse world (teach riding to special needs kids), my daughter grew up riding, I adore these animals and they are well-taken care of (acupuncture? Massages?) But like the carriage horses they are work animals which means two things - they were bred to do a job, and if they are not well-cared for
