Someone can be wrong and not lying. Lying is intentional. Being wrong isn’t. Honestly, there’s a whole body of research in psychology on unreliable memories. Heck, there’s a body of evidence suggesting that eye witness testimony isn’t reliable, even within 15 minutes.
