It’s articles like this that lead me to conclude that racism isn’t the worst thing ever. Kipling was an incredible talent, and an evocative writer. I enjoy his work, context be damned. And I don’t look down on India. I like Anglo culture more than others (cultural chauvinist here), but I don’t think it is superior.
And it’d be nice if they’re going to portray a Norse God that he’d look like a Full Blood Norse.

I could accept that argument for a poor city/state, but San Fran (and associated area) are filthy rich. Shouldn’t they be able to do this on their own?
