Excellent Lunar design. Even as a kid I knew the interstellar travel was all wrong (and in one episode an entire GALAXY was moving in between them and Earth, would block communications), but the basic base design I liked and the Eagles were perfect. Love the Eagles.

Put the Moon in a long, elliptical orbit around the sun. Use it as an interplanetary slow shuttle/colony. All the stories you can imagine with no wormhole.
