    They totally should.

Vast of Night is fantastic. Most of the rest sound like missables to me.

Sure seemed to me like Skarsgard was doing his best Col. Kurtz as the Baron.

A guy I know who used to work with U.S. Customs told me never to buy anything at a dollar store that you would eat or put on your body (like lotions, sunscreen.) The reason, he told me, is that the stuff that’s stocked at dollar stores is usually rejected by Customs at U.S. ports due to quality control and rerouted at

Playing cribbage without a cribbage board sounds like something you’d do if you and a mate were stranded on a desert island.

I wear a mask while driving to normalize mask wearing behavior.

    Ick.

Speaking of tipping, whatever happened to the Salty Waitress?

This works on my phone, but not on my Roku-enabled TV. Why’s that?

    Anchovy martini. Challenge accepted?

I hope those high-dividend stocks weren’t in the energy sector.

    Dead?

    Dead?

Damn, them’s some pricey duds! Who’s seriously gonna drop a couple hundred bucks on a sports jacket you’ll only wear a few times at most. Save you cabbage and just wear the preppiest crap you have in your closet.

Nope, doesn’t work. You can’t make pickles by simply adding new vegetables to a jar of pickles. It seems like it would work, but the salt/water ratio gets totally thrown off. The good news, however, is that mixing up a new batch of brine (water/vinegar/salt/sices) is dead simple. Try it, you’ll be glad you did.

Another thing I’ve noticed missing from FIRE culture is saving for your kids’ college tuition. Are the majority of FIRErs childless, or do they just expect their kids will go to public schools and completely self-finance their educations with student loans? I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with state schools and

I recommend picking up condiments at a local grocery store overseas. They are cheap, easy to pack and last a long time back home. I bought three jars of sandwich pickle (kind of like a chutney spread) at Tesco in the UK last year and have been enjoying it on everything from turkey sandwiches to roast chicken ever

BigLaw picks up the horrible White House outcasts and makes them partners.

If I fold my pizza slice in half, is it a sandwich?

Reusable grocery bags. Please use them!

And then there are people like me who never wanted to be a part of Facebook and actively use and enjoy Google +, especially its common-interest driven Communities and its ability to control via Circles who you share content with.
