I was very close to grabbing an electric mini cooper for school runs and groceries.  I am second guessing not pulling the trigger on that before the incentives changed.  It was as close as you can get to an invisible EV that’s not a truck or CUV.

As much as I am not a Musk fan...I can’t see grabbing this over the Model 3.

The DS is the only answer for me. The car was so highly advanced in terms of technology, but the engine was the least interesting part, since it was basically a Traction Avant unit that had been around since prehistory.

My Chevy Bolt uses about 29Kwh to drive 100 miles.
I pay .25 per Kw to charge at home. That’s $7.25 for 100 miles.

My gas car gets about 22 mpg combined, for 100 miles that’s 4.5 gallons @ $4/gal = $18 in regular gas for 100 miles.

I’m with you. No way on earth I’d have that lunatic’s brand associated with me. I seriously “built” a Model Y, with the intention of buying one, about 18 months ago, but I had a weird feeling about him then. Hard pass. Plus, they don’t have rear wipers which is bs.

The only thing luxurious about a Tesla is the price.

Whenever anyone brings up the Hummer EV, I like to point out that it’s basically the worst-case scenario for a consumer-grade electric vehicle. 9000 lbs, 1000hp, shaped like a brick, big knobby tires, and basically few concessions to aerodynamics.
