@timgray: The Xfinity app is actually really handy. You can filter a channel guide down to the channels you watch, read a summary of the shows and then either change the channel to watch the show or record it. You can surf through the On Demand stuff too.

I'm sure Hallmark is already working on an April 11th card.

@tetracycloide: I've got an 83" DLP and my kids play games all the time on it. It looks great.

@Unknown2U: I thought the Sony plasmas had better quality pictures but I went with a larger and very good picture. The bottom line is that you can research a purchase like this forever, but there's no substitute for going to the stores and seeing what they've got.

I ended up buying a Mitsubishi DLP because I had room for something large. A really large DLP isn't that much more expensive than a smaller LCD or Plasma. I got an 83" set for $2100.

I like use Latitude from Google Maps to let my wife know where I am. One time, my GPS sent me into some heavy beach traffic on a Saturday afternoon. I called my wife at home and she checked where I was using Latitude. She could zoom Google Maps out and quickly give me advice about alternate routes.

@Lone: Really. Every year, Consumer Reports publishes a list of what types cars that have the fewest accidents with a note explaining that it isn't the cars that are safe or unsafe, it's the type of driver who drives them.

@CABEZAGRANDE: In 1988, I bought a Carroll Shelby Dodge Daytona. I doubt Carroll Shelby ever even saw one but because it was such a limited production run, the package didn't appear on the insurance company's forms. I paid the economy car rate on that car.
