That means there's someone at RIM who evaluates fart apps and makes sure only the best fart apps are offered for sale. I suppose there's someone at Apple with the same job. You think they have meeting where they discuss fart apps?

@[Redacted]: I've never liked any of their stuff, it's always reminded me of hockey rinks.

@BeefSupreme: The VP in charge of IT where I worked tried to impress his underlings at a meet and greet with stories of his fabulous Bose system. Oh, yeah, you are one sharp cookie...

I don't know how bpm it is, but I do know the Sisters of Mercy "This Corrosion" makes me feel like a Viking jogging off to war. I can jog for hours listening to that song.

@apisch: The problem with Paradigm's is finding them. I've never seen (or heard them) in a shop. Where I live, they are only sold by custom installers.

@Gary_7vn: It's so pleasant that you hear of a death and immediately think of a way to make money off of it. Actually, the latest news is that it may have been a case of auto-strangulation:

This is why scientists don't like to give interviews. "Ok, Ok, snort. Now, what would happen if you left a can of beer in there?"

@redman042: I was thinking about the greasers I went to high school with who made functioning guns out of two pieces of pipe and a rubber band.

@-zargon-: What surprises me is that no one has mentioned Cambridge Soundworks. Ten years ago, they dominated the small speaker market.

@grem28: Personally, I'd buy Cambridge's S90 Sub, the S50 Center and two S30s fronts:

What surprises me is how often I watch TV or movies on my phone. I can watch TV.com at home over a wireless network and the quality is fine.

That's me! I went part time five years ago because I was appalled at how much taxes I was paying. If I'm not doing something with my kids at the end of the day, I go to a gym. I'm not getting rich but about once a week I stop and think to myself, "I'm the luckiest person in the world."

cheese it! there's a black ship headed this way and they're carrying stink bombs!

@femme-bot: No, it's worse, John France was dressed as Prince Charming...I suppose the really odd thing is that she wants him back.

I'm from Caribou and that's not a starch factory. That's Caribou's largest cocaine processing plant.

How long before we're having solar sail races?

@kelbear: I always thought Cambridge Soundworks was really cool because they used to include decent speaker wire with their speakers and advise you strongly on not spending a lot of money on speaker wire.

@elementary: It depends on what is important to you. The speakers for my home theater sound the best about four feet from the back wall. I think the whole setup looks great, the speakers are surrounded by piles of equipment and there's an 83" TV sitting between them. In my living room, I have a very small tube amp

Would you also require Microsoft to send their source code to their competitors? I don't think anybody should be required to give away what they have spent time and money developing.
