as much as i enjoy tool, i feel like i actually have to carve out time in my day to listen to their LPs. every record has been longer and more conceptual than the last. they’re still a great band. but i have to be in a certain mindset to really just sit down and have them on.

then it’s a good thing i never played yakuza. now i have even less incentive to because i’ll never catch up.

i met bendis once at the chicago comicon probably sometime in the late 90's and he signed an issue of jinx for me.

it was so bad. like usually i’m expecting the choreography for fight scenes to make up for the lack of story (because who really needs a story when you’ve got those dudes in the same movie throwing elbows and flying knees) but i couldn’t even finish it. the entire premise was so bad and the fighting just blew.

i’d say this is some weak attempt to mimic iron fist, but iron fist was so bad i can’t imagine this being any worse.

the best is when you find a cool ranch piece that’s absolutely covered in colored specks because it’s going to burst with flavor.

i was so bummed when it was cancelled. that show had the perfect balance of gore and humor and really stayed true to the feel of evil dead.
