i’m assuming in panic mode gene completely forgot to use the leverage he has on jeff and apply it to marion given the lengths she’s has gone to help her wayward son.

i really wish AMC could’ve done one of their ‘presented without commercial breaks’ for this airing. it clocked in at an hour and 20 minutes and the ads were absolutely killing the pace of the episode.
loved the gravity of SG the deeper gene got into the shoplifting scheme. only a matter of time before SG comes out to play.
surprised people are down on his character and acting. i think it’s been acceptable given he’s portraying a blue collar guy that served in the military and is clearly not as refined as the hosts or the wealthy that frequent the park.
No! I personally enjoyed this show quite much and I am annoyed it is cancelled. There is a lot of weirdness to it, but I think it was a good thing.
i can’t believe ‘get in the fucking water or little debbie gets it again!’ didn’t make the stray observations list. out of that entire beach sequence (and possibly the episode) i laughed the most at that line.
i don’t hate this show, but the issue i have is reconciling the legend of boba fett we grew up with—the badass bounty hunter that was cool AF, clever and willing to incinerate folks for money—with the older version seeking retirement as a noble crime boss. i keep waiting for him to turn and go full ham on adversaries. …
this is the best news of 2022 so far.
never read the book but thoroughly enjoyed this series. thought the hamlet scene was quite gripping and i will admit i wept when kirsten/jeveen finally spotted each other. similarly i do wish they had devoted a few minutes to them catching up but i suppose it’s fitting they did not as the embrace said it all.
i’m surprised there isn’t more mention of his ESPYs hosting gig in the recent articles about norm. it is absolutely scathing and a comedy gem.
i remember being halfway through this movie in the theater and realizing that i was not enjoying it at all. i never had a problem with the things the characters did like space flying leia or luke completely regressing as a character. the problems go back to the same underlying issues plaguing the entire new…
rogue one is clearly the best of the disney star wars movies. quite likeable cast of characters, great action sequences, real stakes. i won’t deny that it likely benefits from where it sits in terms of the overall star wars timeline (seeing original trilogy vehicles and design hits the sweet nostalgia part of the brain…
if you dried him out like a grape to a raisin you’d get marc anthony.
i mean, it was due to end. how far up can tommy keep going while beating the odds? prime minister? king? supreme leader of earth? demigod?
i get what this movie was trying to convey, but i think the execution wasn’t necessarily the greatest. i don’t know if it’s because it just wasn’t enough time for a 1.5 - 2 hour movie to cover such an existential topic or maybe the way they framed the characters story arcs were to blame.
even worse, it’s probably not beef and topped with hydrox, the lesser sandwich cookie.
i’m a bit torn with the luke reveal. while it was cool watching him rip through a bunch of fodder (just like dad in rogue one!) and be the one to answer the force beacon, it was offset by the cgi quality and ‘hey, it’s a skywalker...AGAIN.’
i await the pusha-t retort to this endorsement.
does anyone ever read the log as salsa frontier? i just want to know if i’m the only person that does this.
really fantastic episode. there was just so much to unpack no matter what level of fandom you are with star wars. while it would be great to have them launch respective series for the search for thrawn or whatever else they have in mind, i am also cautiously optimistic given the botched job episodes 7-9. let’s not…
