Watching it in Edinburgh, the biggest laugh came from a background poster that said “we’ll deep fry your kebab”. Marvel gets this country.

I went last night to see it in a sold out theater. Watching a movie ten years in the making with a bunch of other big fans was really cool. People lost their shit pretty much anytime a huge thing happened or certain characters came on screen. Everyone was dead silent at the end though. Great movie. I’ll see it again…
I don’t like the term, which in the last year is all over online discussions of DC shows, “filler episodes,” which seems to apply to episodes that don’t substantially advance the main season-long plotline, and imply that such episodes have less value than episodes that do. I utterly reject this as a measure of an…
I take your point about Avatar, but in fairness to Cameron he was making action/sci-fi movies with female protagonists 30 years ago.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with Cameron, can we at least agree that citing a couple of wahoos from Twitter, which is where you are guaranteed to find at least one person who is unrealistically outraged/offended, does not mean there’s an actual controversy here?
Well, it is clear that your parents were complete failures.
I’m all for equality, but is anyone else worried that if the women become self-aware they’ll rise up and overthrow us?
Holy SHIT
Yeah, I really am mostly on his side here but ripping on people individually was uncalled for and in some cases misinformed. Pokimane, the Twitch streamer he tried to shame for dropping out of college, can certainly go back to school any time she wants. And if she does in a few years she’ll do so with a renewed,…
I think the solution to this is to let someone give a similar performance at the Oscars. Award shows are universally ridiculous.
I would have had more sympathy for the GoPro people if they hadn’t walked on stage holding a GoPro on a stick.
And now I realize that I didn’t see last week’s episode. The last one I saw was the baby episode. Shit...
The show ended last week with Tandy’s half-shaven head and “Mike!” Even if you somehow missed all the promos, this isn’t exactly a shocking reveal.
The reveal was in last week’s episode and has been shown in a bunch of promos...? That’s literally the point of the episode.
I think Donna was asking if Xo knew anyone currently with cancer, to which the answer is no... But I do find it slightly maddening that Rafael’s past experience with cancer has not been mentioned more, since that element could be easily used for good storytelling and deepened relationships.
God, that cut to Xo in chemo was heartbreaking.
This summer, Vin Diesel is Mrs. Dalloway
Not only that, if you look at his reading material 7 minutes into that episode, no fewer than 8 books dealing with mental health and brain trauma are visible in that stack of books on his desk. He’s been trying to self-diagnose ever since they got out of the Framework.
When you were eight, your mom spoke a lot in front of you about having orgasms?
Well, I’m off to Burger King!
