Frankly I lost all faith in the Emmys when she wasn’t even nominated for best actress for season 1. She was absolutely phenomenal from the off (episode 20 in particular I declared her Emmy performance - she delivers so much in that episode). Good on her for putting that money towards something incredibly worthwhile…

That’s what I thought while reading the article, although I have always taken it as a minor moral outrage that tuna and sweetcorn should be so prominent when tuna and cucumber is clearly the superior filling. It’s been scientifically proven. By science. And by eating it.

‘My Sister, My Sitter’ is the only episode of The Simpsons I loathe. I find it not only unfunny (for the most part) but deeply unpleasant. God, even thinking about it now has me on edge. I’d watch the Futurama crossover two dozen times before I’d even consider watching that one again.

Odds are the majority of the ~17 million viewers (average per episode) who tuned in this year don’t base their viewing decisions, even in part, on the explicit politics of the creators or stars. I’d sooner watch BaR again than BvS. I’d much rather a movie messed up trying to be fun than messed up trying to be gloomy and mean. Further to that, I think BaR succeeds more in what it’s trying to do than BvS does at what it’s trying to do - the fact no-one wanted it to is a different matter ;)

I get that, but I also think it’s more complicated than that. I suspect that even you would have a limit under certain circumstances.
