Probably because nobody told the refs to look out for the Jets doing it.
Probably because nobody told the refs to look out for the Jets doing it.
Can you or any other Patriots fan please explain why this call was made, then, if it wasn't for the reasons outlined in the article? The article states that the Jets were aware that the Pats did this the week before so they told the refs to look out for it. So if that's not why it was called, then what was the…
But what do you mean to insinuate by saying it has been "selectively enforced?" Did the refs intentionally screw the Patriots? If there was a grand conspiracy to make them lose, couldn't they have done a better job than something late in the game that could have gone either way?
That's a really good point but it actually is a player safety issue. This story was referenced in a different comment...a player actually suggested the rule after getting hurt on a similar play. Trying to block 2-3 guys stacked up is definitely not safe.
Second baseman doesn't need to physically be stepping on the bag to force out at second as part of a double play, apparently.
Seriously. I don't follow baseball. My experience with it ended at little league and I was blown away someone explained the "neighborhood play" to me. It just goes against the fundamentals of the game. "Oh well, close enough." Seriously?

Agreed. Somehow, "hater" went from describing a jealous person who talks shit on you because you've got it better than them to describing anyone who criticizes you at all, even validly.
"I got a ghost meter to read, and it just beeped, just at my vagina."
I usually want as much fried surface area as possible. The inside of a potato wedge is basically a baked potato with nothing on it. Seems like a waste.
Don't get me wrong, it's one hell of a ride when it's done properly. Strap yourself in and maintain the illusion that you're not running down a glorified hallway and modern, linear shooters can be a blast. It's tough, for example, to find someone who played through Modern Warfare's groundbreaking campaign and didn't…
I live near DC and work with a lot of supposed "Skins Fans." This is literally the first time I've seen "HTTR" all year, as opposed to last year when you lame-ass bandwagoners cluttered my Facebook feed with it. What a difference a few losses make.
Nice job moving that goal post. First you say "to celebrate native Americans," then your story changes to reflect the fact that he was honoring ONE guy who was obviously "a good one" in Marshall's bigoted mind. And let's not forget that Dietz's heritage is in question, too.
People who bitch and moan about how unfair and prevalent "political correctness" is = people who just want to be able to call a nigger a nigger
I have a hard time believing the man who was the very last to integrate his team named that same team in such a way to "celebrate" a minority.
Daniel Snyder, please stop posting here.
It seems unclear as to whether or not Dillinger owns the rights to these songs.
He's like a woman! Get it? It's a put down!
It's not hate, my friend, I've seen it happen. I worked at a a right wing radio station (an amazing coincidence) some time ago where this happened. Every part time board op was desperate for a full time job, as part timers often are. The full time overnight guy quit, everyone applied for his job, and the company…
Sleazy business owners have been pulling that kind of crap forever. Now they can blame Obama for it and hide their greed behind the guise of taking a bold political stand. SSDD
