Settle down.

"numbers never lie Hugh...that's a .28"

Yet Lou Holtz picks Notre Dame to win the title every year and he's still employed?

Still no cure for Jemele Hill.

Wow, well isn't this ironic. Now Douglas is like my Uncle Tom, who's an unemployed alcoholic.

That's a terrifyingly low railing. Whether alcohol was a factor or not shouldn't matter. If someone can easily get their center of gravity over the top, then it's probably too low.

Very sad. When I heard that we'd lost a homer, I really hoped it was Hawk Harrelson.

[stunned silence]

This is very good but I would like to correct one inaccuracy. Most agreements of sale and conveyance state that they are for Ten and No/100 Dollars and Other Valuable Consideration but this does not literally mean that the consideration was $10.00. In other words it is a legal boiler plate to reflect that there was

This is great. Well done, Timmy.

How Deadspin ruined my day: Posted long-form article at 5PM, after an hour of doing nothing here at work. Now it's time to go home and COME ON, TIM. DEADLINES, BROTHER.

But separated by safety glass.

5-11 here we come. Fuck this team.

The Vikings beat the Lions once several years ago because the Lions missed an extra point as time expired that would have sent the game to OT. That's the franchise in a nutshell.

Jim Schwartz, 22-42 with the Lions and one postseason loss, 4-12 last year.

No the football team is shitty too.

I hear he's blaming it all on Obama.

For what it's worth, I did Olbermann's show on MSNBC a few times, then maybe once or twice when he moved to Current. He was always really nice. I understand this is contrary to most people's observations of his behavior, but I can only report my own personal interactions with him.

I actually really liked the monologue. I'd rather hear Olbermann give some nice history on the Yankees (and I say that as a Red Sox fan) than listen to Skip Bayless and someone else debate whether A-Rod should be booed or not. We should be embracing ts type of content from ESPN.

ESPN's biggest problem right now are sterile Sportscenter anchors. KO, DP, Kilborne, Mayne, etc. gave life to the highlights. Stuart Scott and Scott Van Pelt still do a good job, but that's it. I'm hoping Fox Sports 1 actually has a Sportscenter show that is a highlights show not a bunch of talking heads.
