I was still on dialup when I got HL2, I was so enraged when I read the stuff about Steam. Luckily I got it for 'free' with my gfxcard at the time. That was another funny thing, I had to reregister my game code almost everytime I logged in, it was horrendous

I did that with KOTOR1+2, I have the discs right in front of me and I still bought it on Steam. Why? Because it was cheap and handy lol

I think the reason why KOTOR has such good Star Wars is precisely because it has nothing to do with the OT. It created such an in-depth story that introduced many of us to a rich and vast history full of Star Wars. Indeed, KOTOR is in my opnion the pinnacle of Star Wars games.
