How does it limit you? Its quite easy to get around the platform thing since there are several codecs available and software can recognise what kind of device youre running so itll automatically download the right file or you can choose your own codec or filetype if you do it remotely

Because then you'd have to keep that BluRay on your drive and youd have to copy it over whenever you want to watch it. Easier would be a simple library where you click the movie > format > download and presto!
