The "knot" in question is the "Meereenese Knot." Apparently he's having difficulty writing some plot element, I think involving Dany. As far as the name, I think it's just Meereenese being substituted for Gordian, and it's just referring to a task of great difficulty.

Oh, come on, list of weapons! You forgot the dismembered arm that you could wield in Vampire- The Masquerade: Bloodlines. I can't recall if it was effective or not, but beating someone to death with an arm that is not your own was amusing. It helped that the arm was a jittery thing.
