The timing of the buses in the opening bank job. Getting a henchman into the jail without anyone noticing the very obvious bulge of an explosive under his skin. Kidnapping Lau. Stealing an 18-wheeler and loading it up with an RPG and several missiles. They make pains to talk about the fact that Joker's henchmen are

Exactly the kind of vaguely intellectual but ultimately unjustifiable defense of the movie that tends to drive me insane. You cannot justify inconsistent character writing by simply saying, "Well they meant for him to be that way." The ONLY way that works is if the movie is all metaphor. If it's a fantastic parable

This is exactly why I had such a problem with him in TDK. He talks a big game about being an agent of chaos but EVERYTHING that happens with him has to be soooo elaborately choreographed that it's utterly unbelievable. Which is really tough to stomach when Nolan is trying his hardest to make you think the movie is

The 'real' Scorpius isn't terribly loveable.

Spike.

The Fincher Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a substantially better film than the workman-like Swedish adaptation.

But The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is an absolutely fantastic film.

Green? That hourglass is clearly blue and black.

'I would hope even the most bitter of woman-hating male comic fans surely have to agree that no male superhero, unless he was a child, would never be drawn crying while held hostage by a supervillain.'

I am impressed that it looks like they've put some serious thought into giving the series a "feel" and a look. It's dark with occasional splashes of red, blue, yellow and white. A striking look with a strong directorial and cinematographic eye is what I feel is missing from shows like SHIELD and even Agent Carter

No its not that Marvel fans dont like dark and gritty. Its that we like it when its appropriate. (Daredevil)

This is some good Daredevil. I enjoy the current swashbuckling Daredevil but occasionally miss the street vigilante Daredevil. Daredevil.

DRUMS

Treat disaster porn as you treat regular porn. The premise is ridiculous and you know that in reality stuff is completely different. But you watch it for sheer enjoyment.

You sure won't but I'm fairly certain it's a disaster movie and not a documentary. I'm just guessing though.

Like the empire in Dune. Showing that maybe the economist knows his economy but he does not know science fiction. Checking sources is hard work.

What about empires that arise after the space exploration has been seeded?

The main characters are a Norse demi-god, a radioactive mutant, a former Russian spy, a guy with the power of archery, a guy in high tech armor, and a super solider from the 40s that carries around a shield. The villain is a robot who employees a witch and a guy that can run fast.

Once your expectations are centered

Thor is even worse. He wasn't even on the vehicle.
