Crysis 3 is much more a lousy console port than GTA IV. Also as games get older it does not make them automatically easier to run.

I don't agree with you there. If messing with the settings did not help, than yes it would be a bad product, but if all it takes is a little bit time to get it working right it's fine in my book.

Messing around with settings is a sacred ritual of the master race. I would be disappointed even angry if I did not have settings to mess around with.

Why? Because there can be multiple reasons.

Dunno have an AMD card and the game runs just fine, although I did mess around the settings quite a lot until I found the perfect performance/visuals balance for my PC.
