I have a congenital birth defect and was treated at Shriners up until the age of 18. Unfortunately, my issues are lifelong and here I am, just got informed that I’m getting fired (my employer can no longer “accommodate my leave”) and getting dumped from long term disability and losing my health insurance.
Make fun of me if you want, I love this kind man and his music. I’m glad he finally gets to enjoy being himself. Go Barry! Go Barry!
Yes girl, you are fabulous. We all are are, because we’ve all done something equally stupid. Unfortunately, you are also in for some really fabulous diarrhea, because Bud Light in that quantity is secretly beer-flavored prune juice. This is especially fabulous if it kicks in during a one night hook up with the…
Bud Light? Hang your head in shame.
The operative word here being “nasty”.
If you don’t feel shame for sucking a stranger’s dick in a public restroom, you’ve got something wrong with you.
I have degenerative disc disease. Fusion surgeries in 2007,2009,2011,2013. Entire lumbar spine and C4-C7 cervical fused. I live in FEAR of losing my job/insurance.
And it’s not like I could prevent my congenital heart defect. It’s not my fault. We’re not even sure what caused it; the most likely cause is my mom got rubella while pregnant with me, but we’re not even 100% certain about that because it’s not the defect you “usually” see with rubella.
You forgot old stamps a couple cents short of the current postal rate (“you can use two and it’ll get there for sure!”).
Oh yeah - UTIs & yeast infections were routinely cited as “preexisting conditions,” even though they’re like, the common cold for women”s junk.
don’t give trump any ideas...
They’re having a better time than my poor parents who spend the day watching Fox and refuse to spend the sizable amount of money they have stashed away.
My husband is a triathlon and marathon runner and he has a barely detectable micro valve prolapse (one of the valves in his heart doesn’t close all the way so a teeny bit of blood leaks back down, basically a non issue) and he was denied private insurance. He was cleared for races after his diagnosis, he was told it…
Of course. “I’m healthy” only works until the day you are diagnosed. Almost everyone has something. If you are “healthy”, you probably have knee damage from playing sports. If you are heavy, you can be labeled pre-diabetic. So many kids have asthma these days. Even ADD. It’s so stupid. And those old guys in Congress…
I had a doctor prescribe a statin drug which ended up causing acute kidney failure. My kidneys dropped to 25% function. I felt like I was going to die. The kidney doctor wouldn’t see me for a week. By then, my kidneys recovered (most likely from stopping the meds).
At my last job (before ACA), they gave us money for insurance. Despite overall good health, I had gotten a UTI within sixth months of applying for coverage from Anthem. Anthem, United Healthcare, and a couple others turned me down (for a UTI that had completely resolved). Insurance companies are run by assholes and…
Thank you for this. I have a 4 year old who has been showing signs of academic brilliance for a year or two but also showing lots of social awkwardness and anxiety for the same amount of time. We had a particularly bad day yesterday and I’m at work feeling down about my parenting failures.
Because....Mike Pence can’t control himself? Kind of weird, don’t we think? I mean really, man, as a good Christian and all, don’t you think this is kind of a weird admission to make?
