What is it with scientists about cold fusion and lying? I mean, dang!

@hambonegravy: I dunno, some chimp groups go to war with each other and commit genocide like humans do.
@BettyCrocker: Hear hear.
@Totenglocke42: What the hell.
@EricIvar: Here I was so worried that there woukd be no good opportunity to make a Blues Brothers reference.
Huh. You know what, I might actually sign up for yoga as a class in my senior year of high school. I need something to make me smarter now that FreeTetris.com's format sucks and thus is not conducive to cerebral development, as Tetris was supposedly capable of making you smarter, a study reported on this very site…
Wow, has it really been that long since this thing was announced? Gee.
@Shakatany: I feel like they're not, because they exist outside of space and time as we recognize it, and while the credits for this season contain the word "transcendance", I don't think the First People became/are the Observers, even if, absurdly and implausibly, they were hominids (which should be impossible even…
@MajorMattMason: I won't buy it unless it came with all the different hints and tidbits of each dust jacket for the vinyl record.
This episode was basically one long stream of "Yes!" Stellar way to kick off the rest of the season.
@SuperSnackTime: ...Well, if crying is your kind of thing, it could be both.
@prufrocker: It makes me happy when the rough majority of sci-fi/fantasy/superhero/speculative fiction films in a given year are at least good, but honestly I feel like we're in the middle of a wave of good speculative fiction film that's been building for years and has only just begun to manifest in full.
It's a good time for original science fiction cinema right now; Duncan Jones's next film comes out soon, and Ridley Scott basically just announced that he's helming an original science-fiction film.
I feel it should be mentioned that the guy who made the Bunny Suicide and Lies to Tell Small Children books, Andy Riley, apparently had a hand in writing this film.
@simonbarsinister: Uhhh, actually. . .
This isn't really a loss; it's Ridley Scott helming an original science fiction feature that may or may not be space horror, when before it might have been a big mess overburdened by high expectations, studio meddling, and the like. This film might still end up like that, but it's got better chances now.
@PigMonger: You're already a client, so it doesn't apply to you, provided your contract doesn't get renewed before March.
@Darth Sethius: Lego's actually started recruiting directly from the fan community; some of the most talented builders out there are now doing work as designers, and it's showing despite the usual parts, price, color, and can-a-child-build-this-easily factors constraining sets.
@Benguin the Albatross: I think 10 years ago the parks were still under Lego's direct management, tickets might be less expensive now or at least not more expensive. If you're an active builder/fan/collector, it'll be worth it for some of the rare goodies you can score, and also the less-rare but still pretty prime…
@Ryan: Oh, but they *did* do a minifig death star! A relatively compact but ultra-detailed one that retailed/retails for about $400.
