When it’s time to escalate, keep this adage in mind: "Everybody works for somebody." Regardless of the position of the person you're speaking to, they answer to someone, and that person answers to someone else. There's no reason you should ever feel like you're stuck, or have no one to escalate to. I ran into that

My mom used to daily drive an XJ and would get in arguments about whether or not she could park in the special compact parking at her office. I DD a TJ and have had to have the same conversations on a few scenarios. Apparently, to some people, "it fits between the lines with space to open the doors" isn't

The Pilot has side curtains, doesn't look like they did anything for the driver.

And while Bernie and the FIA are all freaking out about this sort of thing, it really is all their own doing. Yes, it was mostly Renault that pushed for the current engine configuration, and yes Bernie was on record opposing it, but it's the governing bodies of the sport that set all the rules in the end.

Why do these keep moving farther away from the driver? Every time I've been in a position where I need or want to turn on my hazards, I don't want to be reaching halfway across the car to do it. What's so bad about having them on top of the steering wheel, or at least the drivers side of the dash?

Reuters reports that an investor group led by Miami based buyout firm HIG Capital is poised to purchase the Green Hell for somewhere between $82.4 and $96.2 million.

I think at lot of this is due more to gaps in the training - they go through a script and, sometimes, that script takes them to things they've never done or needed training on, so it becomes rote regurgitation. I was able to skip over half an hour of diagnosis when I contacted AT&T support via chat when one of my

You know you're going faster than a trot when you no longer feel as if someone is attempting to bash your neck out from in between your shoulders and head with a sledgehammer.

It's most likely a part of the Mammoth-Flint Ridge Cave System and the roof failed. You can see a pretty big gap on the right in these pictures, I'm betting that they're going to be looking at relocating the whole museum once the investigation has been completed.

Yea, Leander and Pflugerville ISDs didn't announce delays until AFTER a Leander bus got in a wreck with 7 elementary school kids on board. I know at least one P'ville bus got in a wreck at the entrance to one of the high schools, but I don't know if it had students on it or not.

Part of the problem is more that a lot of places held off on closures until AFTER rush hour started, Austin Community College and UT didn't announce a delayed start until 7:40AM, well after staff and students had begun their commutes, even with meteorologists on news channels saying at 6AM that conditions were already

Buy a cheap OBD II reader (like this one), you can check the codes yourself and google them if it's steady on. If the CEL starts flashing, it's become a Malfunction Indicator Light, and shit is on the verge of falling apart inside your engine.

I keep my side mirrors aimed a bit tighter than some recommend, I can just see down the side of my Jeep, but if you're jockeying for position in traffic like Torch mentioned, why worry about what's directly behind you? You want to see whats happening at 5 and 7 o'clock, the exact spots the side mirrors are supposed

Not being able to see behind you all that well is a pretty big handicap for a NYC cab, since so much of driving in Manhattan involves jockeying for position in traffic. I think there could be an easy solution, though: let the rear view camera stay on all the time.

Even more interestingly, Chevy's site says the Spark starts at $12,170, but when I click through to the "build and price" section, the cheapest option is $12,995

I'm thinking it's more likely that box trailers got swapped somewhere along the way and the dispatch office didn't get the memo.

I totally agree, though I think part of that may be runaway contracting costs. My biggest problems with the toll roads in Austin is the insane amounts of excess. This toll plaza on 183A was closed entirely and is barricaded by concrete barriers. This one on mopac only uses the outermost and innermost toll lanes.

And if you live in Hutto, 130 and 45 are the best highways to get anywhere. Same with the northeastern portion of Pflugerville. Here's the most recent list. Rene Lee Ferguson got passed up and I think Ronny Williams settled, so the new top offender is Mandy and Stephen Dyment with 10,566 unpaid tolls totaling
