Depends. Downtown at major cities like Chicago, New York, Mexico City, stuff like that, they’re usually very busy on weekdays, and not so much on weekends. Business travelers abound. More touristy locations will be the opposite.

If your point was to take pictures of major plot points, then having the phone out at the ready would make sense. You might not get the swing, but the head on the floor? easy peasy.

Re. 3.He needs to snap away half of life because he sees himself as the hero who takes the hard decisions, like a captain sending men to die in battle. If he finds a better way, his self image gets broken.
