I never knew you were in the bay area. I just moved to Detroit (to work at one of the big 3) after 15 years in SF/Peninsula. Small world.

Seriously. Sadly, that probably will never happen.

From his Wikipedia page:

Awesome. Thanks for posting these.

FWIW-

Ford offers the f150 with a single cab and the 5.0l coyote. You can even get it in base XL trim for extra lightweight 😁

Yes!

I owned, daily drove and tracked an Evo(8) and STI. The Evo was a much better track car(almost no comparison) but was definitely not as nice as a daily driver. The Subaru felt way better put together, although it had more mechanical issues. Honestly, the Evo is the one I miss...it would totally come alive on track and

Yeah, I was following the investigation for a while as well, but it was patently obvious that it was going to go nowhere a few months after it started. Its horrible enough to lose a family member in a plane crash, but the pain of not having any closure has got to be so much worse. What a shit show.

Intrigued. BMW has had some great concept cars, and has some real talent in their design studios. Wish that more of that made it into their recent production stuff though..

As a car designer, Ian has definitely been a huge inspiration to me, both in his great designs and direction at Jaguar, and as an example of how to be a effective leader, while still being a great guy on a personal level. I have had the pleasure to meet him twice, and he has even critiqued some of my work in person,

Well, we can blame(... actually, thank)the old Top Gear for ridding the world of one of the remaining Hyundai S-Coupes:

Still work at Ford? I work in the pdc.. always looking for fellow jalops to grab lunch with.

As someone who works in the auto industry..let me just say- perfect take! Hilarious but sadly true.

I saw it in person today. Its quite nice. I dont totally disagree with you re the grille.

Usually I agree with your comments on design, but I cant say I agree with you this time. The XT5 is handsome in an understated way(you definitely picked the best angle for your example...looks almost like a simple Volvo xc70), but the xt4 is not doing it for me, especially in person. Tailight graphics are huge and

Nothing like getting chucked through a canopy by a couple rockets to give you a real fighter pilot experience. Jeez.

Like most automotive designers, I really have a love for early TT’s. Easily one of the greatest designs of the 2000's, by one of the greatest designers (Freeman Thomas). Unfortunately, they can be real nightmares to keep running. I had a buddy that spent loads keeping his going for a while before he gave up. Ive

Whoa. That sounds fantastic.
