It almost happened to me me too.

You could spec one pretty close. The paint and interior have “to sample” options($$$ but doable). The only thing I can see that you couldn’t get fitted directly from the factory are the 911r style gauges(although im sure you could find them somewhere in the aftermarket for $$$), the silver mirror caps and the related

Flagged! ;)

Badass.

I got totally fucked by this mess. Was heading out yesterday on a european car related adventure (will be posting more on this later on oppo). Had a Delta ticket booked from SF to Frankfurt (connecting in Detroit) and rolling crew related delays meant a 5 hour connection got eaten up. Delta’s customer service line was

Totally agree... Definitely one of my favorite concepts from Ford. Which probably explains why I bought a ‘16 Mustang, which has a bunch of the form language/graphic elements from the EVOS.

Yeah, that lasted long. But really, how were they supposed to be able to stop someone from modifying their own car? They can make it hard(ECU being super difficult to crack etc.), and they can certainly deny every warranty claim for modded cars, but ultimately they can do much of anything that tuners won’t find a way

Also, be careful if a rental company offers you an upgrade to a large vehicle in SF, NYC or any large metropolitan center. You may end up having to pay an oversize vehicle surcharge when parking at a hotel or garage.

I didnt buy the car, my friend did. But the process is very easy(especially if going through a dealer)..the description posted by sampsonhead below pretty much sums it up.

Oh, ive actually dealt with those idiots before. Went with a buddy to look at a ‘17 Camaro...they were super pushy and wanted to play games when it came time to talk numbers. We walked and my buddy ended up buying a car from a dealer in NV instead (bay area dealerships generally suck ass).

I work in the industry(automotive/industrial design), and yeah, there are many talented designers and engineers working for these start-up EV companies. Especially if you are willing to move to China, the opportunities are available and pretty lucrative.

To Frank Stephenson? Ive met him twice(had the pleasure of talking to him for 30min about design) at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance (have a buddy with a P1 who has graciously guested me in the Mclaren tent and taken me to a bunch of Mclaren events). He was super cool, looked at some of my work(was in school at

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- Frank Stephenson and the design team at Mclaren are killing it. Their organic speedform style design language is unlike anything else on the road. This is second only to the P1 for sportscar design in the last 5 years.

Even though I agree with many people(and much of the automotive press), that Nurburgring lap times don’t really make any difference when actually buying a car, we are definitely getting some cool video content out of all these manufacturers trying to beat each other’s times.

Gorgeous. Close to perfect small sportscar proportions and a good balance of retro and modern design.

While I agree with your statement, I think that what Patrick meant was the only way we would get it in the US would be as a Nissan (since Renault/Alpine has no dealer network here)....and that we would be okay with that if it meant getting this beauty.

Daniel Simon is my hero. That is all ...
