" tends to side with them over disputes about excessive noise, smells, and other nuisances."
For those of us who lived through it the first time, it is not an era I ever thought we would return to. I remember arguments at "cocktail parties" in the 60s, at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis, between a friend of the parents who had a Fallout Shelter and those neighbors who did not.
You know, it is occasionally necessary to see inside.

The travesty of the LAX modernization is that there is a light rail line a few miles away and THERE ARE NO PLANS TO EXTEND IT INTO THE AIRPORT PROPER SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRIVE AN AUTOMOBILE TO GET THERE.
Soviet Ekranoplan?
Which is why, of course, you decided to peruse Aeronautical Engineering, yes?
Not in California, the CHP is now using SUVs

Lamborghini owners drive like cocks, and have no respect for the absolute power under their right foot.
As big and Tron like as it seems, the objective reality is that heavy armor is the Dinosaur of the modern battlefield. Large, set piece battles pitting heavy armor forces against each other have no relevancy with today's asymmetric, light force warfare. Tanks are so much a part of the last war, and represent the rut…
