Same, I used to think the whole Skylanders fad was ridiculous. One day, on a whim, I picked up a few Amiibos because I thought they would look “Cool” on my shelf. LEGO Star Wars is much closer to canon, and a much better game IMO. But as a collector I love the designs of the Disney Infinity figures, even if the game is simply “okay”.

Sega was the company that got me into learning Japanese. After waiting so long for a Yakuza localization, I said F it and started learning. 私は日本語を勉強します。

With Mafia 1 and 2, it was a shame that they had amazingly crafted open worlds, but nothing to do in them. They were both fantastic games, but fell into obscurity after a few months in lieu of the next best open-ended game.

I started learning Japanese two years ago, it’s not easy but it’s doable. It’s really awesome being able to play imports, but with the pace companies like Atlus are with their localizations, or streaming services like Crunchyroll, it’s not really all that advantageous.

But hey, at least I can play Sega games :P and

Yakuza 5 is slated for later this year as a digital-only release on PS3...eventually? That said, I doubt we’ll see this title, or any of the other 7th Dragon games like...ever? :(

Last week I’ve been sucking most of my time into the Witcher 3, thought Splatoon would be some childish game that loses its charm after a couple hours so I didn’t pick it up at launch. Now I’m actually spending more time playing Splatoon than the Witcher...and I normally bore out quickly with FPS-type games.

Good news is Toukiden is coming out to the West. No word on Freedom Wars yet though, but being that it's coming from Japan Studio there's a good chance we will be getting a Western release.
