Our Animal Humane, in New Mexico, has a program of assistance for people who can't afford the high medical costs, food costs, etc., of keeping their pets. The goal is to keep owner and pet together.

I did not know what to expect from that video. I'm still not sure what I've just seen.

It's important to leave cash for your pets — if a family member takes them, you want them to have the wherewithal to care for them. If they end up at a "ranch" or something, those often require that you provide for the pets financially. $10K is not an outrageous sum.

And if the wind is stronger than the weights, is that her fault too? Or should she be going around dressed like this all the time, just in case of gale?
