Maybe his black friend is a self-hating black dude? There are lots of self-hating people in the world, and at least some of them have to be black.

It’s very easy to picture how a kid might be in the car with an arm reaching out of the door opening and resting on the car when the closing door comes down on their limb.

Short term, sure.

FIVE YEARS?

Come on.

Only if you marry her and raise the kid...

Being black doesn’t absolve you of being racist, either. But that’s not the point here.

I agree with Tony that choosing to live day-in, day-out with a black person is more involved than occasionally hanging out with your black friend.

Sure, but every one of those situations is a year at most. I can’t see how they get to FIVE years.

I’m sorry, but that’s just crazy.

The only worse version of “I have a black friend” is “I slept with a black girl”.

Over the past few years, people are saying to push with the arms by your sides, rather than flaring out like a “T”:

If you don’t like your roommate, you don’t live with the person for 5 YEARS. 5 months, maybe. But not 5 years.

What scares me now is the thought that he probably did my mom in it.

I know if I had paid such sums for a rolling whorehouse with those huge overstuffed, soft leather bench seats, I’d have done filthy things in it.

How many of those morons have “Swift” on the side?

So cool! Do want!

OMFG. My dad bought one just like that - baby blue with the white interior. It was (barely) garagable for us, but that’s because he spec’d the garage to be longer, with a narrower laundry/mud room going into the house. Ah, good times as a teen in that thing.

Someone please do! He needs more work to do!

Nice job! High five!

OK, fair enough.

BTW, shouldn’t we all be moving away from wide pushups, or really, anything that encourages flaring the arms when pushing?

I accepted my Dad’s Volvo V70, and I eternally regret that I didn’t immediately sell that Svedish POS for cash to pour into restoring the SVX I had at the time. That fucking engine misfire/stalling was total fucking bullshit. Fuck that car.

Hard core.

Literally.

Do you follow with ring pushups with feet on a balance ball? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

How many minutes did you guys go?

But yeah, at some point, it’s mental toughness pushing through the pain. And it definitely becomes pain at some point.
