Here’s the patrician stance on the issue: fuck VW, and fuck this guy.

But is it driveable? If I’m VW I’m arguing that anything that safe is from a practical standpoint, not driveable.

1) Joe is a big enough asshole, that he found a way to make people feel sympathy for VW

The Trouble with Germans is this: They did not think the yanks would strip cars and turn them in. We just settled in Canada with VW and Canadians would never think of doing this !

That’s why they didn’t say no. They are just making him sit on his hands for being a little shit. Which they have every right to do.

You may also be confusing CO2 production (which for new car production is in any case a small fraction of the amount produced during operation over a period of years) with the NOx pollutants that VW TDI engines are producing in illegal quantities. The reasons for regulating both are fundamentally different- CO2 and

To everyone that has said he meets the letter of the ageeement, judges have the ability to interpret the SPIRIT of the agreement. The spirit is clearly to say they’ll buy it even if there been accidents or problems with the are. To deliberately devalue the vehicle for the purpose of getting extra value at VW’s

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Doesn’t matter how fast/slow you’re going. On ice, you’re going to slide if you hit the brake hard, that’s expected, that’s physics. Even at 10MPH, you’re going to fucking slide if the person in front of you mashes their brake and you panic brake. There is the delay of reaction and the reaction, itself.

“Too fast for the conditions, in the winter you need to slow down. If you cant control your vehicle you are going too fast!!!”

I don’t have delusions about the mental aptitude of the average human being. I agree that the average person would never think about the location and how a hill up the road would impair driver’s reaction times.

What they’re guilty of, is not going above and beyond what a normal and logical human would do.

Full disclosure: I am a former Comcast tech and trainer.

I saw the same. Dude is definitely not trying to stop that truck even after hitting the tree....

is it just me or did it look like once he got off the lawn he high tailed it out of there?

they look like the normal bald POS tires you see on an old truck/car.

This Comcast guy is a true American Hero(tm). He only worries about himself, and himself only — screw everyone else!
