Doesn’t matter how fast/slow you’re going. On ice, you’re going to slide if you hit the brake hard, that’s expected, that’s physics. Even at 10MPH, you’re going to fucking slide if the person in front of you mashes their brake and you panic brake. There is the delay of reaction and the reaction, itself.

I don’t have delusions about the mental aptitude of the average human being. I agree that the average person would never think about the location and how a hill up the road would impair driver’s reaction times.
