Actually, this was the last ‘X’ version wagon GM made. The Turbo X wagon came out about 18mos before the 9-3x. And it is everything they described.

There is something called a used market, and if you removed all of the exterior styling as Kspraydad suggested, you would have yourself a bland looking B6 Passat. Which was available in the US.
The last time GM made an ‘X’ version wagon, it was awesome (and incidentally the opposite of everything you described).
No, you wouldn’t because they aren’t made anymore for US consumption.
Sweep-spear is the correct term, and it has been a Buick signature styling element for decades.
The current model is available with AWD, so I would think so. A stick will probably only be found in Europe..
If it’s anything like the last OPC Insignia then AWD & a stick is highly likely.
I rather dig it. Not a lot of wagon choices so it would be great to have. Can they make it AWD? A stick would be nice but who are we kidding at this point.
“hydrolysis where energy out is greater than energy in”
It goes up. Literally, and quite quickly. You don’t get puddles of burning hydrogen, you get an impressive fireball that’s almost instantly gone, with no smoke other than what else around got scorched by the radiated heat.
It’s something I recall around that time as well, though I never did a project on it so I wouldn’t know the details like you do. We’ve been hearing enough over time that I am with you, to a degree, on being surprised.
“Most grids have most power from coal or natural gas.”
No one’s disputing this. You’re missing the point that as we move away from coal and natural gas and toward more green power production hydrogen also becomes greener. Also, that slide someone else referenced shows Nikola plans to make their own hydrogen with solar…
Well their master plan (which I admit is optimistic) actually has a sound logic for zero fossile fuel use.
Of course no one has figured out hydrolysis where energy out is greater than energy in. Why do so many people get hung up on this? Hydrogen isn’t so much a fuel that’s found naturally loaded with energy as a way to transfer energy from a power plant, and there’s nothing wrong with that. As we create more green power…
Hydrogen under pressure, even when that pressure is released via a rupture, is much much safer than a Zeppelin. Current hydrogen designs have a ridiculously redundant series of safeties in place, and even if the tank gets punctured, you’re likely to get a burn at the source instead of a flame that spreads (another…
Answered every single question I had. Thanks a lot Sr.
A lot of wind power in various area gets dumped because the wind is blowing at night when demand is low and there’s nowhere to put the electricity. I have no idea if there’s enough of it to support this idea, but the basic concept is sound enough.
You’ve clearly never watched Archer.
Has someone figured out hydrolysis where the energy out is far greater than the energy in?
The big story here is that Hydrogen is actually a ‘battery’ that stores renewable energy very well. MANY of the solar panels/wind turbines/hydro-dams that are placed around the country aren’t being used at 100% capacity most of the time. MANY times they are idling... Little known fact: our country has a HUGE surplus…
