This is what happens when you send gun enthusiasts to do a truck enthusiast’s job.

I think the new Supra is going to make lightness a priority, hopefully this means a renaissance of light Japanese sports cars, a new RX7 will do just that along the incoming Supra.

I know huh? when I was in college, a new Honda Accord was in the 14-17K range, now you can’t get a new Civic in that price.

Yeah, these people don’t understand how much money new cars cost in 2016.

I’d pay it.

Beat me to it. Thank you. I posted something similar. Where did people get the idea these were a bargain new? They only built 8,600 of them because they didn’t sell.

I approve of this plan.

In before the “this car should cost under $30k” crowd. The MKIV Supra was $40,000 in 1995, which is $63,000 in today’s dollars. Remember that. The new one will be F-Type/Cayman S money at a minimum.

At this point I think the auto manufacturers should just start trolling us...

Right around the introduction time for their new year models...they should flood the streets with 10-year-old models of the same car, all wrapped in the anti-spy camo.

I can just imagine the collective shit-losing of the nation of auto

That’s some really horrible driving.

I thought it did rather surprisingly well, overall.

A powerful engine ruins a truck for offroading? Whodathunk?

*laughs in poor.

The “Park anywhere I want button”

i agree with the Group B part, imagine an old Killer B locked in a cell for being too mad and telling the story of how everything got out of control back in the da

Maybe instead of going to medicine, McQueen would become a CalTech chemist, get stiffed in his startup, and end up being a high school teacher with cancer?

It’s okay, no matter what happens the Zumwalts will always be able to tumblehome

Agree! Those who’ve never worked on a large engineering project cannot fathom the complexity and near impossibility of it “going smoothly.” We’ve also lost our tolerance for failure. I think you probably spend at least 5x as much engineering something to death to try and prevent every failure as you do just building

Give something a German name and a huge price tag and you’re just asking for mechanical problems after the warranty’s up. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

No, because at no point did they imply that there was only minor cosmetic damage. The propulsion system had a problem and there was water intrusion (also known as a leak), AND THEN as a result of that it hit the lock walls and suffered said “minor cosmetic damage” in addition to the mechanical problem that caused it.
