mediating the viral lethality would be a major challenge here scientifically, but the other problem would be the practical one of delivering the virus to every single existing Krogan.

I'm with this guy. SECRET OF MANA. why do people even make video games anymore?
I'm with you. Final Fantasy XIII wasn't that bad. People get mad hyperbolic about the Final Fantasy series. There are legions of folks who think VII is the best, and you know what, good for them. It's not my favorite. In fact, I would much rather play X or XIII today than touch VII. IV and VI were my favorite, but…

dear god, that costume is terrible. DC, haven't you learned your lesson after all of these years? Don't fuck with the holy trinity.
@Tyrunn: true, but I felt that the combat even in ME1 was pretty compelling. I played an engineer and I had to keep track of my powers and use them strategically to win fights.
@MurlocHitman: Interesting. I too am playing on hard, and I noticed that I was getting low on ammo sometimes. I had wondered whether or not I could actually run out of ammo if I never missed (i think the aiming is very forgiving in this game).
Just started playing Alan Wake yesterday. My friend lent it to me, and I want to blow through it before i get started on Mass Effect 2, but I find myself quickly losing interest. I'm somewhere in chapter 2, and have noticed that combat basically boils down to the same thing over and over.
congrats sony! I was a little late to join the party, but next generation you can count on me! I don't know why I ever doubted you, considering how much I loved the PS2.
@Aentropy: as manufacturing technology improves, the cost of electronics decreases.
riiiiiiight..... cause we all really really want to play GoW on our iPhone. I can only imagine how much fun that would be.
@MonkeyChunks: I'm with you on that. These Foxconn stories are journalistic trolling.
@Platypus Man: Glad you're enjoying that game. Really, SotN and Super Metroid are the superlative Metroidvania games.
Can't wait for this thing to fail. Of course, that means it will be a huge success. At least there are already more great games in existence than I could ever possibly play, so when the medium eventually turns to complete garbage I won't have to look too far to play a game that doesn't involve me jumping around or…
@Snow leopard: I think assholes or thieves are also appropriate names for these people.
@TheAlmeida: truer words have never been spoken.
@Accordeon: yes, this game is rad! I bought a PSP to play this and so far am not disappointed. I just recently finished the fight with the Pupa, great stuff!
@mintycrys will Vanquish you!: maybe the games I played are not the same ones you did. MGS4 is IMO the best game of this generation.
@FP_slomo788: you hit the nail right on the head. When the series gets stale, we should worry about it. But for now, it seems like the series is at an all time high.
