Totally, I would also say it depends on the game type being played. Last of Us multiplayer is very strategic, and it's hard to work effectively as a team when you can't talk to your mates. Other games like Halo, if it's slayer, I couldn't care less if I can talk to my team or not, but I would prefer to talk to them…

Back when Halo 2 was the big thing I added people all the time to my friends list. Because they were either fun to play with or just funny people and I wanted to play with them in the future. Some of those people I played games with just up until a few years ago.

I really don't understand the bitching about the pricing of PS Now. From what I can see most of the games cost somewhere between $4-15 to rent FOR A MONTH, how is that a terrible deal?

Same here. I have over 500hrs in it and I have a ton of fun every time I play, even when our team gets destroyed.

People love cosmetic items and buy them in droves. Many games are like this, Dota 2, World of Warcraft with their mounts and transmog gear, etc

That's because those are terrible F2P models. Look at how Dota 2 or other games that do it right, the only things you purchase are strictly cosmetic items and the entire game is already unlocked from the start. Lots of games could easily go with that model but they dont.

I've had plenty of games in Dota 2 without assholes. I would say I've had far more games with people who are quiet/people who like to joke than games with assholes in them. I also have roughly 500 hours in dota 2

Dota 2's community really isn't that bad. Like any online community it's usually only the horror stories you hear about online. Are there assholes here and there? Sure, and you can easily mute/report them. But for the most part the players are nice, helpful and fun.

Serious. Those player made guides are life savers. They tell you how to spend your level up points and tell you what to buy, often with a "core item" header for certain items.

Is that supposed to be a spoiler? Everyone knows at this point every character they like will eventually die.
