Beyonce's called Kelly her sister before, and it's not uncommon for close friends to designate themselves Auntie or Uncle of each other's babies. My friend's due in a month, and I call myself Auntie [real name] when referring to the baby.

The house I grew up in was walking distance from R. Kelly's house (once, my sister even made us drive past). His alma mater is in the city, but there's another high school near his house, and rumors of his...trawling...were frequent.

You can do it! I also got my credential through an alt-cert (I've taught 4 years), and I recommend you emphasize you willingness to learn and commitment to improving. Teaching is hard, and all first-year teachers struggle—they want to know that you'll struggle productively. Good luck!

I liked the curly hair too (and I assumed the idea was the remoteness of the locale made flat-irons impossible), but it would've been nice if Olivia'd had something actually resembling Kerry's kinky-curly natural hair.
