This exactly. It's (in part) why I had a WIC-ass wedding and took my husband's last name. I don't have the luxury of people thinking it's cute or progressive when my (future) kids and I don't have the same last name. All they'll see is a bay mama, or worse a mistress or nanny tagging after some half-white kids.
