It’s been an issue in Colorado. The Denver Post did a story last year about it; most companies really fib! It’s sucked finding something useful for MS. The struggle is real.

Haha oh man the immobility thing happened to me the first time I tried edibles. It was a full chocolate bar with a little line in the center, creating two pieces. Well I didn’t really think “Hmm, maybe a piece at a time” and ate the whole thing.

It’s so hard to judge edibles. If I buy from the lower shelf, they aren’t strong enough. Who wants to get a stomach ache from too many gummi bears? If I buy from a higher shelf, I risk paranoia and immobility? Duuuuuddddeee ......

That Medicinal Pot Brownie Might Be More or Less Potent Than Promised

It’s a legacy of how the Spanish colonizers categorized us racially, with native blood considered impure but redeemable (after a few generations of mixing the native blood with Spanish blood, and again with more Spanish blood to dilute the native blood), while African blood was considered an impurity too deep to

Does anyone remember Sammy Sosa? Whenever someone would refer to him as “black” or of “African descent” he would get a major attitude and respond by saying “I’m not black. I’m Dominican.” The DR has major problems with its African ancestry.

Remnants of Colonialism. Never doubt the weedlike persistence of racism and colonialism to travel down the timeline.

Because other than a good vacation spot, the DR and Haiti have nothing to them really. No industry, no technology, no medicine. They are the North Dakota of the world, but with beaches and without the oil and gas.

With all due respect to my follow Dominicans, you are some fucked up people. Haitian cleansing a side, you are obsessed with be white. The tons of hair straighter and skin bleach your country spends to make yourselves look white is embarrassing.

I’ll never understand the blatant racism in Latin America. In El Salvador (where my dad is from), most people are mixed with Spanish and Native American (Pipil, Lenca). Yet if you look more Native than Spanish, you’re discriminated against. Like “Oh yes, I’m brown, but he’s browner” kinda bullshit. :/

I read about this last week, and what I want to know is this: How the hell are we (the global community “we”) allowing this to happen? Is it because they’re black? It’s because they’re black, isn’t it?

I agree. It’s definitely a hate symbol - for example, in Germany, the swastika is outright banned, so German white supremacists use the Confederate flag instead. Other countries aside, it can only stand for one of two things: that you approve of Jim Crow (because that flag has only been up since the Civil Rights era)

In fairness to Bernie Sanders, I think he’s not only firmly on record as disliking the Confederate flag but I think he also once kicked Jefferson Davis in the shins.

It’s pretty apparent, too, isn’t it? An act of racist violence occurs. The response? Remove a racist symbol.

To try and answer a question a lot of people have been asking in one form or another, yes, unfortunately and horrifically, it does take inhuman tragedies to change things: it was the sight of german shepard police dogs attacking non violent protestors and the four young girls killed in the church bombing in 1964 that

I love that this is gonna be that little fucker’s legacy. He thought he was starting a race war. Instead he’s helped destroy something he loves.

We all agree the flag should be removed, but it’s funny to see how the politicians are scrambling to act like they’ve always been petitioning for this cause.

congratulations for creating an environment where not even the fucking governor of god damn south carolina can defend the confederate flag.

I can’t believe it’s fucking STATE LAW to fly that flag.

I was legitimately shocked to see this, but also very pleasantly surprised. I think the fact that Clementa Pickney was “one of them” (a state senator) really shook up even the most conservative members of the state government and made them see the light.
