I definitely dated the Radical Feminist (hi, A.) and almost married him, too. But this one...this motherfucker right here is the absolute worst:
I know - he will NOT ever do. It's equal to saying, "I don't see color" in a conversation about race.
Nothing has made me want all police to wear body cameras like hearing a rookie cop in-law brag at Thanksgiving about picking out random people in black neighborhoods to stop and frisk and how awesome it was that everyone was afraid, so they would do whatever he and his buddies wanted. I'm sure there are some good cops…
Yes, because a majority of those arrests (as has been already pointed out to you) come as a result of police creating trumped up charges to justify the stop and the arrest. Look at the man who was stopped for walking with his hands in his pockets on a freezing winter day.
That's fair and I'll answer that. I think sometimes it can be helpful to respond to one person's comment than can sweepingly address a lot of people who have similar misconceptions at once. This is a person who believes something that a scary amount of people actually think. Like, it's legit horrifying to me how many…
Umm, no. You're still not understanding how profiling works. Profiling is all about jacking somebody up for no real reason other than, for example, the color of his/her skin. Police won't have to "scale back" in black neighborhoods. They'll just have to stop jacking people up only for being black which, by the way,…
Because police can't patrol a neighborhood without profiling people? What?
I'm not sure if it will result in less police officers patrolling in black neighborhoods. I think it will lead to a decline in unwarranted stops in those communities. Basically a decline in people being stopped for their skin tone rather than an actually reason to be stopped.
If it's relevant. Tho while we're racially profiling, I'm sure the small, elderly, Asian shopkeeper could kick the guys ass. But then, I've been watching a lot of martial arts movies lately...
Yes. Racial profiling is not about describing a suspect in an active criminal investigation. It's about singling out people based on the color of their skin as the sole basis for whether or not to engage in interaction with them, such as stop and frisk. The idea that ending this hideously racist practice will end the…
In a speech on Monday night, Attorney General Eric Holder said he plans to target the practice of racial profiling…
I am significantly cheered up by Pedro Pascal's "i shit you not, i cannot get rid of this headache" tweet from earlier today.
I want to slap every one of these smug little assholes upside the head. Yeah, we get it. You guys have access to SOOO MUCH cool shit now and you're SOOO LUCKY you have alternatives to Internet Explorer. God, how did my friends and I ever survive with the Internet of 1997? (Hint: We did.)
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DO A MONTAGE OF OBERYN, SET TO SARAH MCLAUGHLIN'S 'I WILL REMEMBER YOU'? I NEED THIS.
I didn't think Arya was laughing AT her aunt's death but rather at her and more likely the Hound's very bad luck. He sacrificed a lot to get her to her aunt and even complained that she wasn't worth the ransom that he is now not going to get.
Oberyn didn't get the name "Red Viper" for nothing.
There was a shot of a squire wiping down Oberyn's spear with a cloth before the duel, so I fully expect The Mountain to be experiencing some excruciating pain pretty soon.
I knew he was going to lose this fight (thanks books) but I was still all "DAMNNN! 0_O" when it happened...
