THIS.
It’s true that a large percentage of people consider government employees “lazy”. But working 9- 5 is pretty standard (IMO) for public sector employees. It’s one of the main reasons I decided to work in government.
Jack Flash is as close a hybrid to original Jack Herer as you can find. Even that is near impossible to find in NYC, where I am (luckily I’m moving to LA). I guess the option exists to grow pure Jack from Sensi Seed Co. stock or clone. One day, one day.
Jack is my all-time fav. Very difficult to find outside legal rec/med states though.
Thank you. I do enjoy the fact that it’s a walkable neighborhood, not something you can say about most areas of LA. Being from NYC, the fact that it has a Metro station I can use to commute to work in DTLA is huge for me.
I’ve lived my whole life in NYC and have seen the same changes happen in so many neighborhoods in Brooklyn/Queens/Manhattan. The main reason I won’t move to Echo Park or Highland Park etc. is that I don’t want to contribute to the rising rents that are making those areas unaffordable for the long term residents. Even…
I’m moving to Los Feliz in a few months from NYC and have been wondering if this will be a problem for me as I look for an apartment. I’m “Latino” and while I wouldn’t call Los Feliz a “White neighborhood”, from what I’ve seen personally, it doesn’t have as many PoC as say Echo Park, Highland Park or even Atwater…
We might need to start over. I vote for a Federation based on direct democracy and voluntary free association. This whole “Republic” thing is a real drag
Scion of wealthy political dynasty says Americans need to work longer?
Schumer was basically agreeing with Donald Trump’s statement that Mexicans are rapists. When comedians make jokes that are basically long standing White Supremacist talking points, I tune out.
Well put.
Also this:
“You kind of get this feeling that things belong to you.”
I would say Prohibition “hurts communities, creates addiction, tears apart families, and foments violence”.
They did but it’s a joke, it’s the worst med pot law in the country, worse than New Jersey’s which is saying something. And the reason is because they did it reluctantly. In a sense, something is better than nothing but the fact that those who need it for medical reasons continue to complain about how terrible the law…
Everything you said exactly. There has been talk about adding a new congressional district in Utah in exchange for D.C. representation. But the Republicans still won’t budge though. D.C. needs representation & statehood, and so does Guam, PR, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands & the other US territories.
You all really need D.C. statehood. The Feds holding your purse strings is a horrible state of affairs.
Probably zero. But states are working on expunging records for those who have them from the previous era of state prohibition.
2016. The polling numbers look good. I think it’s a shoe in.
