Someone please tell me the DEA has been shutdown!

Badger and Skinny Pete come through for the win!
I thought Jesse was imitating Mike with the piano wire by the poolside in Mexico.
Born and raised, straight from "cop killa Queens". My mother moved out of the country and so did my sister. My father still lives in Queens. I'll be honest, even if every member of my family lived in NYC I would still move away. I am not willing to live in a city that makes me miserable in order to be near my family.…
I agree with that probably being the intent of the law. I just don't think it should really matter whether the person is a photographer or some random person with a camera.
Yes. This.
Police are probably one of the most privileged groups of people in this country. NYPD especially. Stop & Frisk, "No criminality suspected" whenever they do illegal shit.
Agreed. And I realize that the country already reserves certain privileges for the wealthy as well as people of a certain race, but does this need to be codified into law? I'm gonna say no.
Am I the only one who has a problem with the idea of laws tailored specifically to the needs of the wealthy and privileged ?
I am Latino. My mother's side of the fam is mostly indigenous. My father's side is Iberian (Spain) & African. I'm just brown. Even my father's "white" genes are a mix of Visigoth/Roman/Moor & Arab/Sephardic Jew and who knows what else. I've been told that I could "pass" for a local in the Middle East & South Asia.…
I'm totes down with this. As a guy who bikes in North Brooklyn & Queens I must say, I'm not that familiar with the male-centric bike culture thing, as I am constantly surounded by women riding bikes. Would any Jezzies like to elaborate on this point? I have no excuse for my ignorance on this matter.
If you mean Dupont didn't want competition for nylon & other types of synthetic petrochemical fibers, then yes, that was a factor. A factor that was not widely discussed in the press at the time, unlike the concept of crazed Mexicans terrorizing wholesome White Americans which was heavily discussed.
The "War On Drugs" is a war against minorities and the poor, as well as a war against our collective civil liberties. It is well documented that marijuana was banned in order to criminalize Mexican immigrants (and Black musicians), Opium banned in order to criminalize Chinese immigrants, and Cocaine banned in order to…
What about Gomie????
I would assume that most Americans equate rap music with Black culture. I doubt the existence of white rappers will ever change this perception. What about 3rd Bass? I believe Snow would fall in the Reggae genre.
I'm a POC, who often says I dont like country music. I don't write off all country music and am willing to give pretty much anything a listen. Disclaimer: I like alt-country and music that includes the heavy use of slide guitar.
I stand by my statement. If one says they love every conceivable type of music with the exception of rap, you are a racist. Maybe its subconcious, maybe its not. At the very least they are disregarding a very mainstream portion of Black culture.
I do not think that people who do not like rap are racist. I think that people that say they love all genres of music except rap are just afraid to be honest about their dislike of Black people.
Yes most rap is garbage. But apparently you do not "love all music except rap", so no your not a racist.
My interest in rap has steadily declined since the mid 1990's. With that said there are still interesting rappers/producers making quality music. People Under The Stairs, Evidence, Alchemist and those affiliated come to mind.
