Someone got after me on the previous “boobie streamers” thread about how “immoral” it was to go after lonely guys by displaying cleavage on a stream.

Two things:

1.) This person was arguing that it was only “logical” that the behavior was immoral.

Well considering no person has ever died from consuming genetically modified organisms but people have dies from consuming organisms created using the traditional cross-breeding method I think your argument moot.

First, the writers do not get to decide the ads that run on the site. It’s actually quite telling, and indicative of independence, that the writers can be critical of Amazon while Amazon ads run along side those critical articles.

A lot of the women in the industry that I follow on twitter, that are at E3, have already dealt with this kinds of stuff. Even from devs. So yeah, it seems people still beed to be reminded that women, even if you consider them hot or not, do play video games...

Sarkeesian’s project, if nothing else, helped propel a lot of discussion about women and games, about what matters and what doesn’t. And she got it all done before Valve could even release Half-Life 3.
