Grave of the Fireflies absolutely belongs on this list. Movies only rarely make me cry—none of the films on this list that’ i’ve seen made me cry, although I’ve only seen 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9. But I spent almost the entire 2nd half of Grave of the Fireflies full on weeping.

I actually like long layovers. It makes my flight way cheaper (direct flights are often 1.5 to 2x as expensive where I am). I get a chance to work a bit or catch up on emails. I can grab a fancy coffee and chill out for a bit.
