This is actually (within federal agencies) the sort of thing that can carry some severe repercussions, especially if alcohol is involved. There tend to be a lot more consequences doled out on the federal level than the state or municipal level, especially where alcohol is involved.

I supported everything you said there, especially as federal law enforcement regulations are very, very specific about off-duty pistol wear and proximity to alcohol.
