Not necessarily. I agree it's great for people to fight the good fight for the sheer ideology of it, but I think it's often not until you see it affect someone you care about that turns it from being an abstract issue, to something you see that hurts real people every day.

Not to be the annoyingly serious person making fun of SHEER AWESOMENESS, but I think he`s just trying to shame his bill, or point out how ridiculous it is.

You did the right thing. Shame on your boss, and I am so grateful you showed such good judgement in that case!!!!

Dude. The former director of the CIA obviously doesn't know that Di-Fi is notorious for her ovaries made of freaking titanium. I think the lady who was literally right in the building during the assasination of Harvey Milk, saw/dealt with the bodies soon afterwards while immediately assuming responsibilities as mayor c

K not to be the annoying bubble-burster, but why is Corey the one in the academic profession? I mean, it's great that he's emulating Feeny, but wasn't Topanga the nerd? Why is she now the typical café/hangout owner, signifying that she must be as quirky and cool as a bartender, but for the younger crowd?

Yes, it's true. Definitely how I afforded my college apps :).

Seriously, you're awesome.

OH MY GOD YOU WIN.

Two-ish years ago, this hot Israeli military dude picks me up at a coffee shop. We meet for drinks a couple of days. Five minutes into it, when I let him know I'm going to pay for my own beer, he goes, "Are you like a feminist or something?"

Not the most creative, but still necessary with all these mentions of "cupcakes" and "24-hours" and "New York City." Not to mention absolutely-freaking true.

...Yep. I had to. :-)

Bikini Kill reference!!!

*Cue mike dropping on the floor.*

This actually made me sad.

Wow. Besides the gumption and courage to write about such a tough subject matter (I especially loved the note from the editors at the end), I gotta say, the author is an AMAZING writer. The piece was a lot better than my shitty high school essays on the Great Gatsby, that's for sure...

...Okay...this may be pedantic, but the boston.com's logic about them heading to East Timor comes from the idea that:

They make the REAl world a better place :).

Actual thought process...

THAT WAS HIM?? I'd forgotten!!

Mia backtracked and changed details. So has Woody, as recently as his NYTimes op-ed. So has Moses for that matter, though I personally am more willing to give him more sympathy, given the MASSIVE dysfunction on both sides of the family he was inculcated into growing up.
